Beacon Hill

Beacon Hill is a half-square-mile neighborhood of Federalist Era architecture, topped by the gold dome of the Massachusetts State House. Its narrow streets have brick sidewalks, gas lamps and elegant townhouses, and it is home to the Museum of African American History and the African Meeting House and Abiel Smith School on the Black Heritage Trail.
