Roslindale

Residents once called Roslindale the garden suburb of Boston, and it is home to the Arnold Arboretum, a 265-acre park in Boston's Emerald Necklace. Roslindale Village, the original Main Street district, has shops and bistros, and downtown is a quick ride away on the MBTA Orange Line and Commuter Rail.
