West End
The West End was once the most densely populated area of Boston, with 174 persons per acre. Today it is home to Massachusetts General Hospital, North Station, a hub for Amtrak, Commuter Rail and two subway lines, and TD Garden, home of the Boston Bruins and Boston Celtics.
